Dear Friends and family,

As many of you know, my brother-in-law Hans and my sister Susie are in the process of adopting a child from Korea. They have been waiting for a child for a long time, as they’ve been married for almost eight years this year! In 2009, Susie was asked to be a camp counselor at a Korea Culture Camp where adopted Korean kids are exposed to people just like them as well as a little bit of their heritage. At this camp, Susie fell in love with the children there and felt a strong and overwhelming conviction to adopt a child of their own. It has always been a thought in their heads, but it had finally trickled down to their hearts in the summer of 2009. Hans and Susie have been interviewing, filling out papers, hunting down birth certificates and in the process of putting together their family dossier, as well as trying to save some money to fund the adoption. The adoption will cost approximately $30,000.00 and they are doing their best to save and many have been generous in giving to their adoption fund. However, they still have a long ways to go in reaching the goal!

Susie and Hans were wary about the whole idea of creating a website and make a huge fuss about their adoption on the internet, but I really thought that they needed help since they don't have $30,000 laying around. What better way to use the internet than to reach the masses and help someone in need. I hope you can help them by donating even a small amount. Any amount will help. Let's partner up and help Susie and Hans adopt a baby that's in need of a home and a family.
